Amazon Basics Water Filters EWF-8056-2 Editorial Review
The Amazon Basics Inline Water Filter is designed to filter out dirt, chlorine, and other heavy metals, but not calcium or lime, and will not change the pH level of the water. It fits standard water hose fittings. The filters do not have an indicated number of gallons they are good for but should be changed after 1350 gallons, making it difficult to determine the filter's longevity. The filter has received mixed reviews with some complaining about only receiving one filter when purchasing a 2-pack, poor water pressure, and clogging after just two uses, while others found the product effective and useful but not competitively priced. Overall, the product is recommended for those who need to filter their tap or well water for gardening, washing their car or boat, or filling up swimming pools.
