Graph Tech Nuts Editorial Review
The Black TUSQ XL by Graph Tech Slotted 12 String 14 Width PT-1575-00 has garnered positive feedback from customers who appreciate its usability and performance. Many users have highlighted its precise measurements for width, height, thickness, and string spacing, making it an ideal replacement for poorly fitting nuts on 12-string guitars. Installation is described as straightforward, with no 'pings' or pinches during stringing, ensuring a hassle-free experience. One of the standout features of this nut is its exceptional tuning stability. Musicians note that the TUSQ nut maintains pitch accurately, a crucial aspect for those who value their instrument's reliability, especially in settings involving tremolos and angled headstocks. Users feel reassured by the fact that they can keep spare nuts on hand, indicating a strong trust in the product's quality and performance. However, a minor drawback has been noted regarding the tonal quality. Users mention that while the TUSQ nut offers significant advantages over bone in terms of tuning stability, it tends to produce a slightly darker tone, which may not appeal to all players. Nonetheless, for those primarily focused on tuning accuracy, the benefits certainly outweigh this downside. ###
