Will the Silipos heel cushions stay put in my shoe when walking 3-4 miles on hills in my running shoes?

Since they are made of silicone, they expand and contract. They are not rigid and should be fine for walking. Be sure to lace up snug to keep them in place. Over time they can push the shoe insole towards the toe, but readjusting them every month or so should suffice. Running may make this movement more noticeable.

Can the Silipos heel cushions be worn under an orthotic?

It depends on the orthotic. Since most orthotics are custom fitted, the use of these cushions may not be the best application for them. The wearer has used Silipos for over a decade, but not with an orthotic or under any shoe insert.

What are the dimensions of the W 4-5.5 and W 6-9.5 size Silipos Heel Cushions?

Sorry, the respondent sent their pair back so they do not have that information.

Nutritionist's Take

Silipos Heel Cushions are designed primarily for comfort and support, particularly for individuals who experience discomfort in their heels due to conditions like plantar fasciitis. While they don’t have a direct nutritional component, their use can indirectly impact overall health by enhancing foot comfort, thereby promoting physical activity and reducing pain-related sedentary behavior. Nutritionists generally view these products positively for people needing relief from heel pain; however, the effectiveness can vary based on individual foot structure and activity level. Potential drawbacks include dependency on cushioning rather than addressing underlying issues. It’s important for consumers to consult health professionals for a holistic approach, especially if they have specific dietary needs or underlying health conditions. Overall, while not a traditional nutritional product, the supportive benefits of Silipos Heel Cushions can contribute to a more active lifestyle, making them a thoughtful choice for those with heel discomfort.
