Robert Sor Turning Tools Editorial Review

The Sorby SteadyPro Turning System has garnered a mixed reception among customers, blending high praise for its functionality with significant concerns regarding its durability and the manufacturer's support. Many users rave about the tool's effectiveness, emphasizing the safety it adds to their lathe operations. They appreciate the improvement in stability and the peace of mind it provides while turning. However, there are notable complaints about the system's longevity and reliability. A recurring issue is that the tool rest and post can become loose over time, compromising the tool's performance. Some customers reported their inability to achieve a secure fit, leading to frustrating moments in their woodworking projects. Additionally, the feedback highlights a lack of responsiveness from customer service regarding these mechanical concerns, which detracts from the overall user experience. Overall, while the Sorby SteadyPro Turning System has potential and has won the approval of several users for its initial performance, durability issues and inadequate support from the manufacturer are serious drawbacks that might deter potential buyers. **
