NIBCO Pipe Fittings Editorial Review
The NIBCO 4801 Series PVC DWV Pipe Fitting, Coupling, is a suitable product for regular runs and joins in tight spaces. The coupling can accept 3” and 2” PVC Sch 40 pipes into the hubs of the fittings. It is not necessary to get an exact fit to the pipe being used; however, the coupler must accept the pipe. The inside diameter of the 2-inch coupling is approximately 2-3/8''. One customer suggests using a 1-1/2 coupling if needing an inside diameter of 1-3/4 inches, instead of going for the 2-inch version. According to another customer, it is necessary to ensure that the product is either Schedule 40 or DWV before buying. Overall, the product is received positively by the customers and serves its purpose.
