TREND Scribers E/SCRIBE Editorial Review
The Trend ESCRIBE EasyScribe Scribing Tool is a handy tool for carpentry finish projects that requires a high level of accuracy in scribing baseboard to a hardwood floor, walls, and counter tops. One professional carpenter is happy with it and claims that it's accurate and easy to use. Another reviewer mentioned that the leads last long but can be a pain to extract. However, there are complaints about the height adjustment being difficult to turn, and the two plastic pieces that grip the lead which are flimsy and don't hold the lead tight causing it to fail at times. One reviewer suggested using teflon tape on the adjustment wheel to keep it in place. Another reviewer states that they received a crooked tool. There are also some who think that using a scrap scribe block would be a better and cheaper option than this tool.
