The Absolute Beginner Ballet Group Class 1 DVD by Finis Jhung has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers. One reviewer highlights how the DVD has helped them avoid injury by focusing on proper form and alignment, with particular attention to breaking down each move in fine detail. They also note the inclusivity of the class, with students of all ages and body types inspiring each other in a fun, uplifting, and body-positive environment. Another reviewer who has previously used Jhung’s other DVDs praises the opportunity to participate in Finis's class, as he teaches it. They also point out the importance of Finis’s instruction in explaining the hidden "why" and "how" behind each movement. Other reviewers commend his teaching style as one that is unique and approachable. The bonus interviews with the students of the class impressed some reviewers, as they showcase real people with real lives outside of the studio who have become ballet dancers. The DVD is great for absolute beginners and also useful for experienced dancers. The attention to artistry, through slow repetition of exercises and movement to music, is particularly noteworthy. The only downside noted is the cost of the DVD.
